Donnie Boykin Obituary
Donnie Ray Boykin, 75, of Wilson passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Marsh Swamp OFW Baptist Church, 6664 Rock Ridge School Road, Sims. Interment will follow in Marsh Swamp OFW Baptist Church Cemetery, Sims. Rev. Ray Wells will officiate.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 4 - 6 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Donnie is survived by his daughters, Julie Boykin Bunn and husband, Ricky, and Laura Ashley Boykin; grandchildren, Taylor Fulford and husband, Grant, Catherine Bunn, and Allee Bunn; great-grandchildren, Emma Webb, Addison Ray, Travis Ray, Jr., and his sisters, Bonnie Glover, Barbara Poythress and husband, Jimmy, and Gisele Crumpler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Mae Boykin.
The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to Rhonda Tant, Jeff and Jill Watson and the hospice nurses for the care and compassion that was given to Donnie.
