Donnie Wayne Buchanan

Donnie Wayne Buchanan, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on March 18, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on February 5, 1948, in Kingsport, Tennessee, Donnie lived a life defined by quiet strength, loyalty, and a deep devotion to the people he loved.

A hard working man throughout his life, Donnie built his career as a heavy equipment operator, and he also spent many years as a carpenter, helping to build homes and shape the communities around him. Known for his steady hand, strong work ethic, and unwavering reliability, he took pride in every job he completed and the many projects he helped bring to life.

Donnie also cherished the simple joys in life - especially taking a day off to go fishing, a pastime that brought him peace and happiness.

Donnie is survived by his daughters, Donna Jean and Tammy Buchanan; his sisters, Brenda Buchanan Miller and Sandra Buchanan Valdespino; and his brothers, Tommy, Eugene & Rob Christopher. Each of them carries with them the love, guidance, and memories he shared so freely.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen; his sisters, Norma Jean Love, and Shelia Buchanan Albritton; and his brother, Bobby.

In keeping with Donnie's wishes, he will be cremated, and a ceremony for family and friends will be held to honor his life and memory.
