Donnie Michael Dewbre

Donnie Michael Dewbre, 77, of Levelland passed from this life on May 12,2024. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Levelland. Interment will follow in the Morton Memorial Cemetery.

He was born in Levelland to Riley and Zena Reese Dewbre on March 10,1947. He was raised in Morton. On May 26, 1968 he married Carla June McCarty in Morton. Donnie spent many years working in the oil field and agricultural industry. He recently retired from the Texas Boll Weevil Eradication Program. After the passing of his wife, Carla in 2017 he married Sandy DeBusk on April 9,2022.

Donnie is preceded in death by his parents, Riley and Zena Dewbre; wife, Carla Dewbre; father and mother-in-law, LS (Mac) and Norma McCarty; son, Dustin Dewbre and brothers, James Dewbre and Edward Dewbre.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include wife, Sandy Dewbre of Levelland; son, Dane Dewbre and wife, Jeri Ann of Levelland; daughter, D'Nae Galloway and husband, Rusty of Clovis, NM; grandchildren, Ryan Galloway and wife, Ashley of Lubbock, Sam Dewbre of Lubbock, Rylee Bazan and husband, Adam of Knob Noster, MO, Annie Dewbre and fiancé, Eli Halbakken of Lubbock; great grandchildren, Aspyn and Avery Galloway and sister, Doris Simpson and husband, Arlen of Providence Village, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the South Plains College Foundation.
