It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donovan Scott O'Hair, who peacefully went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2025, at the age of 56.
Donovan was born June 3, 1968 in Alva, Oklahoma to Scotty and Patty (McFarland) O'Hair. He graduated from Ponca City High School while living with his Dad and step-mom Nancy. He enjoyed fishing with his Dad and Uncle Richard, watching motocross on TV, video games, and listening to classic rock. He worked alongside his Dad for several years in the vacuum truck business and was a good hand, but declared his retirement in 2014 when the business was sold. He was a gentle soul, rarely having a cross word for anyone.
His presence will be missed by his Dad Scott, step-mom Nancy, Mother Patty McFarland, favorite sister Amy Hutton, and numerous family members. Donovan was preceded in death by his grandparents William & Barbara O'Hair and Donald & Luvella McFarland.
A memorial service celebrating Donovan's life will be held Saturday, July 12, at 11 a.m. at Grace Memorial Chapel in Ponca City. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
