Elizabeth Yahola Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Inc on Mar. 23, 2026.
Elizabeth Roberta Yahola passed away Friday, March 20th, 2026 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 84.
Elizabeth was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Johnson Larney and Katy (Chupco) Larney. Elizabeth graduated from Chilocco Indian Boarding School in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She loved arts and crafts, Bingo, cooked for friends and neighbors. Elizabeth enjoyed watching OU football, Pittsburgh Steelers and was a drum majorette for her high school. She loved her grandkids, great grandkids and loved staying active. Elizabeth always looked her best!
Elizabeth spent many years in California and spent her later years in Tahlequah, Oklahoma where she returned in 2013. It was during this time that her family was able to reconnect with her and rebuild a meaningful connection that would carry through the rest of her life.
Her relationship with her family was not without complexity, but it was rooted in understanding and grace. Her children and loved ones hold no ill will, only a shared recognition that love can take many forms. While it may be difficult to fully put into words what she means to us,+ the connection we have been able to share - especially in later years - will be cherished.
Elizabeth is preceded is death by her parents, sons; Maurice Yahola, Jeffrey Yahola, siblings; Mary Ann Joshua, Laverne Rhodd and former husband Thomas Yahola. She is survived by her children; Julia Teboe of Shawnee, Thomas Yahola Jr. of Wetumka, Blanch Bear and husband Muncy of Fort Gibson, Anson Yahola of Wetumka, grandchildren; Larrin Yahola, Alyssa Teboe, John Teboe, Sylvia Marshall and husband Sam, Taylor Bear, Lillian Bear and husband Ronel Reyna, August Bear, Destiny Yahola, Feather Yahola, Savannah Yahola, Amanda Mare, Autumn Coke, great grandchildren; Tobias Gouge, Uriah Gouge, Adeline Teboe, Aubrey Yahola, Laela Bear-Marshall, Kali Marshall, Rain Reyna Bear, River Reyna Bear, siblings; Lucian Jake Larney, Yvonne Larney and Josetta Larney.
