Donshay Bond Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Troy B. Smith Professional Services on Jan. 6, 2026.
Donshay Michael Bond, beloved son, brother, and friend, entered eternal rest on December 31, 2025, at the age of 42. Born in December 1983, Donshay's life was marked by faith, family, and a passion for athletics.

A proud Houston native, Donshay graduated from Alief Elsik High School in 2002, where he excelled in both football and basketball. His athletic talent and leadership on the field earned him recognition and lifelong friendships. Following high school, Donshay attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, where he pursued a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing, while continuing his love for football at the collegiate level.

Donshay was the cherished son of the late Deacon Michael Jerome Bond, a respected leader and musician in the Houston Church of Christ (Holiness) USA community, and his devoted mother, June E. Bond. His upbringing was deeply rooted in faith, first at First Church of Christ (Holiness) USA and later at The Church Without Walls in Houston, where his family's legacy of service and worship continues to inspire.

Donshay's life was a testament to perseverance and faith. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, his love for sports, music and his deep devotion to family and community.

He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory his loving mother, June E. Bond; his aunt Barbara Harvey (Elmoses); uncles Harvey W. Cannon (deceased) (Lisa), Dr. Alvin Cannon, Lee Bond (Irene), Douglas Bond, and Donald Bond (Jeanette); along with a host of cousins, extended family, and friends who will remember his warm spirit, determination, and unwavering loyalty.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." – 2 Timothy 4:7
