Dear favorite cousin,
Thank you for being kind. Thank you for being smart.. thank you for leading your family. Thank you for the laughs. Thank you for the hugs. Thank you for the tough love you gave. Thank you for making me feel safe. Thank you for always responding to any text I sent no matter the time or day. Thank you for defending your family. Thank you for all the jokes and stories we´ve shared from the very beginning. Thank you for being you.
I´m not ready to talk about all the plans we had made in the cousin group chat and to be honest I´m not sure I want to do those things without you.
Grief is such an abstract feeling to experience. I feel sad living life like nothing happened when the world lost you. I´m going to miss you commenting on my food posts on social media or the post of tiona and I on one of our sister Saturdays. I´m going to miss the stories you told me about our trips to Florida when I was younger and the stories you told about granny. I´m going to miss the crooked face you made when something didn´t make any sense to you. I´m going to miss you yelling at Domo´s dog. I´m going to miss you.
I´ll take comfort in knowing you´re not hurting anymore and you´re with our loved ones who moved on before you. Visit me in my dreams.
My guardian angel, I love you and I´ll see you again.

Dontell, The joy, laughter, and comfort you have filled everyone with who you came in contact with will be missed. I love you cousin, life just got a little harder to live without you here but death has become a little less scary knowing you and our relatives in heaven will be waiting for us when our time to meet you at the gates arrives. I miss you, I love you, and I thank you.
