Dora "Dee" Brennan

Dora "Dee" Pybus Brennan, 93, of Brevard, went home to be with the Lord on September 6, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Mae Mitchell Pybus. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, the late James Brennan. A native of Morris County, New Jersey, she lived in Morris and Sumerset Counties until 1990 when she and her husband, James, moved to Transylvania County where she volunteered at the courthouse and the library. Mrs. Brennan served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII and, with her husbnad, was a life member of the Marine Corps League, Blue Ridge Detachment 848, in Hendersonville. Her survivors include her brother-in -law John Brennan and wife Rosemary of East Northport, NY; her trusted friend and neighbor, John Humphreys of Brevard, and several nieces and nephews and friends. A Memorial Service for Dora Brennan will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in the chapel of Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations. The United States Marine Corps and the Transylvania County Honor Guard will render military honors.
