Dora Jane Burfeind

Dora Jane Burfeind, 92, passed away on March 7, 2025. She was born to Henry and Elva Pike in Siloam Springs, AR, on May 28, 1932.
Dora was feisty and independent, with a wonderful work ethic. She was also competitive when it came to playing games with her family, especially Wahoo and marble games. Dora was also an avid fisherman, gardener, and cook. She enjoyed making meals from scratch and was the best at making taters.
But most of all, Dora loved her family fiercely. She was the home base and backbone of her family, and she was always willing to take care of her loved ones. Dora was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Elva (Brock) Pike; brothers, Jimmy Pike, Homer Pike, Charlie Pike, Henry Pike, Pete Pike, Harry Pike, and Artie Pike; sisters, Beulah Igo and Margie Payton; daughter, Sharon Thomas; and granddaughters, Gretchen Taker, Gayla Taylor, Dana Torres, and Lisa Jo Torress.
She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Boyd, Brenda Clark, Nancy Torres, and Mary Martinez, 17 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be held at Wasson Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral service, officiated by her grandson Wayne Thomas, will be held at Wasson Funeral Home on Thursday, March 13, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Rogers Cemetery.
