Norman Leon Stevens, 89 of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on February 5, 2026. He was born on May 27,1936 in Watts, Oklahoma to Jesse and Mable Stevens. Norman was a kind and loving spouse, father, grandpa, brother and son.

Norman proudly served in the Air Force and Coast Guard. He joined the Air Force at age 18 and served for 8 years. Later he was in the Coast Guard for 4 years.

Known for his love of Cowboys, Westerns, Louis L'Amour books and OSU football. He was a dedicated member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Moore, Oklahoma until his decline.

Norman is survived by his children, David Gage of Edmond, Oklahoma; Krystal Millican (Jason) of Norman, Oklahoma; Steph Jacobs-Rector (Chantal) of Washington Oklahoma; Karen Smith (Sam) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Teresa Lowry of Moore Oklahoma, Harold Gage (Sandra) of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Glenda Friedline (Kevin) of Moore, Oklahoma, Norman (Chip) Stevens Jr., James Stevens, sisters, Carolyn Igo and Mary Ellen Long of Westville, Oklahoma; and many loving grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his spouse Bonnie Stevens; parents Jesse Elmer Stephens and Mabel Lavisa Johnson-Stephens, brothers Melvin Waldron and Elmer Stephens.

Viewing will be at John Ireland Funeral Home, 120 S. Broadway Ave., in Moore, OK, on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 2:00pm-8:00pm.

A graveside service will be held at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, 1423 Cemetery Rd., Ft. Gibson, OK 74434, on Tuesday February 10, 2026, at 12:30 pm.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude in caring for Norman to Vickie, Donna and the entire Rivermont staff, as well as Keri, Tara, Miles and all the Valir Hospice staff, and Kaitlynn Sanders. Thank you!
