Dora Louise Fiorito Aiello

Dora Louise Fiorito Aiello, 95, of Pittsford, NY died Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Strong Memorial Hospital surrounded by family.
Mrs. Aiello was born in Utica, NY to the late Vincenzo and Elisa Matrulli Fiorito and lived in New Hartford most of her life. She was a graduate of Thomas R. Proctor High School and the College of St. Rose. She received her Masters Degree in Education at the State University of New York in Plattsburgh. On July 10, 1954, she married Paul Aiello in Utica.
Dora was a dedicated elementary teacher for the New Hartford Central School District and she was a parishioner of St. John's the Evangelist Church where she served as a eucharistic minister and taught religious education. Her faith was a cornerstone throughout her life. Although she had many interests, she was happiest when in the company of her family.
Dora was predeceased by her husband, Paul Aiello and her sisters, Ann Marie DeMasi and Elisa Christopher. She is survived by her six children, Domenic (Brenda) of New Hartford, Pauline Murray (Richard) of New Hartford, Elisa Ruff (Ken) of Guilford, CT, Vincent (Valerie) of Carlsbad, CA, Maria Gorczyca (John) of Pittsford, NY and Nina of New Hartford. She is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A private burial service will be in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.
