Dora Lee Heard

Dora Lee Heard was born July 30, 1930 to the union of Robert
and Classie Heard. She departed this earthly life Thursday, August
15, 2024.
Dora accepted Christ as her Savior, and was a faithful member of
Morning Star Baptist Church. She loved serving the Lord, she was
the Secretary of Sunday School for many years and sang in the choir.
Of all the jobs in the church she faithfully served, above all... she
loved the Lord!
Dora was employed with The Gulf Bowl, where she served nearly
sixty years of dedicated service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Classie Heard;
her brothers: Robert Heard, Jr., Earnest Heard and Richard Heard;
and one sister, Ida Koen.
Dora leaves to celebrate her life and memory, her son, Ronnie
(Beverly) Heard; daughters: Sharon (Van) Valrie and Christal
(Donald) Prim; grandchildren: Ronnie (Shenita) Heard, Jr., Latoya
Heard, Bryan Valrie, Ryan (Lynn) Valrie and Shannon Valrie;
fourteen great-grandchildren; four sisters: Beatrice Dean of Mobile,
AL, Hattie Jordan of Las Vegas, Nevada, Shirley (Jimmy) Murray of
Long Beach, CA and Dorothy Walton of Gainesville, FL; three
brothers: Booker T. (Maldon) Heard of Foley, AL, Hubert Heard of
Foley, AL and Anthony (Devera) Heard of Riverside, CA; and a host
of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
