Dora Lee Hampton

Dora Lee "Doe" Hampton, age 87, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with her Lord, on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Valley Healthcare in Chilhowie, Va. She was born on January 16, 1934 to Bruce J. McCormick and Lillian Smith McCormick. Doe was of the Christian faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Robert L. "Bob" Eskridge, and her second husband Roy L. Hampton; and six siblings.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, David Eskridge and Garry McCormick; four grandchildren, Adam Eskridge, April Powers, Noël Mink, and Keely McCormick; and one great grandchild, Marley Mink.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the caregivers at Valley Healthcare, but especially to Crystal Miller, who was especially caring and kind to Doe.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Craig Barber officiating.
