Mrs. Dora Lee Lewis Smith was born December 10, 1944 in Beatrice, Alabama and
moved to Mobile, Alabama where she resided until life departed on October 8, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilie and Mary Lee Jones; her daughters,
Angelia Jackson, Pauline Sharpe, Delilah Sharpe; grandson Earl Sharpe III, and great-
grandson Dorian Crosby; Six brothers, Willie James Jones, Ronald Montgomery,
Johnny Jones, Edward Jones Sr, Herbert Jones, Howard Jones; one sister, Ardell
Carroll; two brothers-in-law, Danny Smith, Terry Smith and sister-in-law Yvonne
(Bernard) Brown.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories a devoted husband of 49 years, Mr. Michael
Smith; a devoted son, Paul (Carolyn) Nettles of Spring Lake, North Carolina;
Goddaughter, Mary (Dominic) Lang; six granddaughters, Tina Sharpe Bradley of
Evergreen, Alabama, Mya Crockett of Houston, Texas, Marquita Sharpe of Baltimore,
Maryland, Shamika Jackson, Porchia Lang, Brittany Lang, all of Mobile, Alabama.
Seven grandsons, Timothy Sharpe Bradley of Evergreen, Alabama, Paul O. Nettles of
Denver, Colorado, Maliki Shaw of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Tyriq Shaw of Seattle,
Washington, Kenneth Bernard Sharpe, Demarcus Earl Sharpe, Travis Tabb Jackson, all
of Mobile, Alabama. Twenty-nine great-grandchildren, four devoted, Shamya Delilah
Price of Montgomery, Alabama, Dora and Jacob Crosby of Monroeville, AL, and
Kendrick Broadnax of Mobile, Alabama. A brother, Allen (Lula) Jones; special aunt, Arie
Nettles of Chicago, Illinois; sister-in-law Louisa Hill; five brothers-in-law, Gary (Pamela)
Smith of Virginia, Donald (Denise) Smith of Tennessee, Charles (Katherine) Smith,
Glenn (Joyce) Smith, Ronnie Smith, all of Mobile, AL; Three sisters-in-law, Sandra
(Harold) Maiben, Patricia Smith and Necole Snider, all of Mobile, Alabama; Devoted
friend, Linda Stallworth of Ft. Worth, Texas. A host of nieces and nephews, one
devoted, Edward Louis Jones, Jr and other relatives and friends.
