Survived by six sons, Samuel Joseph (Melissa) Minix, Matthew Allen (Surrina) Minix, Gregory Lee (Mary) Minix, Adam Curtis (Miranda) Minix, Jamie Dwight (Alisha) Minix, Chadwick Neil (Jerica) Minix all of Salyersville, Kentucky, three daughters, Lydia (Ronald) Blanton, Rebecca Jo (Jeff) Bolen, Tina (Ricky) Prater, two daughters-in-law, Leatrice Minix, Reginia Minix, three sisters, Irene Shepherd of Cynthia, Kentucky, Mary McCarty of Chillicothe, Ohio, Levon Gibson of Lucasville, Ohio, twenty-six grandchildren, and thirty-seven great grandchildren.
Dora is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Minix, two sons, Randy Lynn Minix, Edward Junior Minix, two brothers, John William Smith, Sanford Allen Smith, three sisters, Francis Puckett, Sarah McKenzie, and Lena Fay Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 24, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home with Ruffas Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Minix Cemetery at Salyersville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and any time prior to funeral services.
