Dora Toth Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gramer Funeral Home - Clawson on Jan. 12, 2024.
Dora Mae Toth, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully at her Troy home surrounded by family on January 9, 2024, at the age of 95.
Born on July 24, 1928, in Detroit to Harold Milton and Dora Capitola (Amey) Kiefer, Dora's life was a testament to love, resilience, and service.
On July 5, 1956, Dora married her late husband, Junior Bert Toth. Together, they raised two sons in the home she lived in for 65 years. Their family spent summers renting cabins in St. Ignace, fishing and camping in Manistee until they purchased their summer home in Port Austin.
Dora's dedication to ensuring care extended beyond her own family. She spent her working years contributing to the community through her work in school cafeterias, supporting girl scouts and being an integral part of boy scouts with her sons. She enjoyed crafting, reading, puzzles, decorating for Christmas, playing euchre, spending summers in Port Austin and social gatherings with friends and family.
Dora leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She will be remembered for her kindness, independence, strength and tenacity and the love she shared with those fortunate enough to be part of her life.
Dora is survived by her children, Joe (Patricia) Toth and Dave (Sherrie) Toth; grandchildren, Jessica (Trevor) Wortman, Jennifer Toth, Jacob (Jena) Toth, Kristen Toth, and Ryan Toth; and brother, Ralph (Heide) Kiefer, and sister-in-law Rachel Kiefer. She will also be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Randy) Jefferson, Paula (Craig) Moore, Greg (Jen) Toth, Gary (Marianne) Toth, Shari Toth and Dan (Danielle) Toth
Dora is preceded in death by her husband, Junior Toth; brother, Harold Kiefer; and nephews, Randy and Chris Toth.
A visitation will be held for Dora on January 15, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Gramer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main Street, Clawson, MI 48017. A funeral service will commence immediately following visiting hours at 6:30 PM at the same location.
