Doreen Day Obituary
Doreen A. Day, of Northampton, England, passed away peacefully on November 11th, 2025.
Doreen was a God-fearing woman who served God and loved serving her family and friends. She was kindhearted, rarely complained, and was loved by all who knew her. She married Roger in 1957 and left her entire family in England and came to The United States in 1960. She was a committed, wife and amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She will be deeply missed for her unique sense of humor, her cooking, her serving, and especially having teatime with her family
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger Day, her father Albert Mains, mother Dora Brown, brothers Harold Mains and Derek Mains, her son Geoffrey Day, and her granddaughter Jennifer Simanton Carlisle.
Doreen is lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters -

Doreen was the proud grandmother of seventeen:
Lori Day Hocott (Spouse Erik), Bridgett Day Vansickle (spouse Brent), Matthew Simonton (spouse Emily), Stephen Day II (spouse Joey), Christopher Day (Spouse Leda), Brent Murdock (Spouse Katie), Andrea Day, Jessica Day Stacy (spouse Tyler), Becky Simanton, Shanna Murdock Sisk (Spouse Mark), Donald Day, Brook Day Myers (spouse Amber), Nathan Day, Katie Carter, and Jack Day.
Her legacy continues through her 29 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
Doreen lived a full and loving life, devoted to her family and active in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
