Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home - WaupunDoreen Lindeman, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Randolph Health Services.
Doreen was born June 10, 1932 in Horicon, the daughter of Ewald E. and Leona (nee Pufahl) Schmude. Doreen graduated high school in 1950 and then earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where she graduated in 1954. She was a member of the Phoenix Sorority. On June 23, 1956 she married Lloyd E. Lindeman. Doreen was the show secretary for the Beaver, Pigeon, and Bantam Club for many years. She taught school in the Neenah and Beaver Dam areas.
Doreen is survived by her children: Steve (Karen) Lindeman of Beaver Dam, Judy (Steve) Schaalma of Waupun, and Scott (Lisa) Lindeman of rural Alto; grandchildren: Melissa (Joel) Elliot, Katie Grulke, Adam Schaalma, Jackie (Bucky) Wendlandt, and Curt Lindeman; 12 great-grandchildren: Samantha, Damien, Rick, Susan, Daniel, Emberlyn, Kerch, Adriana, Brenna, Kylie, Brooklyn, and Kiyhara; grandson-in-law, Ernie Kreger; and sister, Karen (Robert “Dobby”) Dobbert.
Doreen was preceded in death by her parents, Ewald and Leona; husband, Lloyd; and granddaughter, Cathy Kreger.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun. Burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in the town of Trenton. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
