Doreen Lyon Obituary
"Loving sister and friend"
Doreen M. Lyon, age 70, of Waterbury passed away peacefully March 30, 2026 at Mary Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Doreen was born July 12, 1955 in Winsted a daughter of the late Albert and Vivian (Angino) Smith. Doreen had worked several jobs throughout her life. She loved gardening, cooking, animals, her friends, motorcycles and drag cars, but found her greatest joy being surrounded by those she loved.
She leaves a brother Christopher Smith and his wife Debbie Lyons of Hobe Sound, FL a sister Donna McCarthy of Thomaston and a host of extended family and close friends especially her best friend Sandra Silva. She was predeceased by a brother Nicholas Smith and her longtime companion and love of her life Roland J. "Rollie" Guilmette.
Arrangements: Funeral services for Doreen will be held on Friday April 3, 2026 at 7:30 PM at Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway Waterbury. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 PM to 7:30PM.
