Doren Lucas Obituary
Doren Jo Lucas, 76 of Bellaire died December 9, 2023 at home. She was born February 4, 1947 in Detroit the daughter of Morris and Gladys (Banoff) Fare.
Doren (Dee) was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved to spend time with her family and was always there for them. She was an avid doll collector, and had a passion for the Sissy dolls. She enjoyed interior design and for years worked in the profession. Dee actively followed current events. She also enjoyed playing Wordle on her phone.
Surviving Dee is her loving husband of 58 years, Richard Lucas. Also surviving are her children James (Corine) Lucas of Wilton, CT, Mark (Janet) Lucas of Gunnison, CO, Scott (Jennifer) Lucas of Rochester, MN, Todd Lucas of Seattle, WA, sister Roni Fare of Ferndale, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
Preceding her in death is her brother, Philip Fare.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 15, from 4 to7 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes and again Saturday, December 16 beginning at 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 16th at 12 Noon also at the funeral home.
