Mrs. Dorene Deloris Cloffey, age 77, of Spalding County, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

Dorene was born on January 11, 1948, and raised in New York. She had a career first in law enforcement and later in finance. After marrying her husband, Terry J. Cloffey, their life together brought them to many different places before eventually settling in Spalding County, where they have lived for the past 32 years.

She enjoyed yard and garage sales, home decorating, sewing, and finding creative uses for odds and ends. Dorene loved her grandchildren dearly and shared in their joy-even riding fair rides with them well into her later years. She also loved to dance, and her family and friends will fondly remember her energy and spirit.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Gould; son, George Michael Cloffey; and grandson, Sammie Jo Cloffey.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Terry J. Cloffey; son, Shawn Cloffey; daughters, Lisa Wiggins and Michelle Affolter (Thomas); grandchildren, Terrin Cloffey (Jason), Christopher Cloffey (Amy), Taylor Cloffey, Ariel Wiggins, and Vaden Wiggins; great-grandchildren, Dresden, James, Brylee, and Brody.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, August 31, 2025 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home 10170 US Hwy. 19 North Zebulon Ga. 30295.

Friends may visit the family from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
