We lost our most precious Son, Brother, and Grandson Dorian James Durdak, after a brief but difficult fight with cancer. He was born November 22, 1993 in Naples, Florida to Tina and Gregory Durdak. He grew up in Southwest Florida at the beaches. He loved to fish and dropped a line in every chance he got. Dorian caught just about everything the beach, lakes, rivers, and Gulf had to offer.
He loved playing football and proudly played for the Coral Shores Hurricanes and Estero Wildcats and graduated from Estero High School in 2013 with honors. He was an avid fan of sports and liked to watch basketball, football, and NASCAR races. His favorite team was the University of Kentucky.
He was a dedicated worker for ten years at Publix in Florida, and Cherry Peak Resort since his move to Cache Valley in 2021. He was beloved at work by employers and employees alike, earning Employee of the Year twice in a row from Cherry Peak. His incredible work ethic and positive demeanor inspired others to "take it and like it". He put a smile on everyone's face when he interacted with them. He had a "just do it" attitude that was infectious.
Dorian was incredibly passionate about keeping the lawn neat and the snow off the driveway. He could be seen mowing the yard all the time during the summer and shoveling the snow in his shorts and flip flops, no matter how cold it was outside, during the winter.
He loved to travel and hike, and visited many States. Colorado, Tennessee, North Carolina, Montana, Utah, Florida, and Alaska, were his favorites. He saw many State and National Parks and especially loved Yellowstone, Glacier National Park and Estes Park. He had an ambition to get an RV and travel around to more States and Parks until he had seen and fished them all, but unfortunately he was taken from us before he could fully realize that dream.
He is survived by his loving Mother, Tina Adkins and Father Rhett Weisman, and Step Father Christopher Finger, his sisters Greer, Shelby, and Geri, his brothers Braeden and Connor, his Aunt and Uncle Chris and Misty, his Grandparents Jimmy and Louise Adkins, and Bob and Rita Durdak, as well as many more family members in Kentucky, Ohio and Florida. He was preceded in death by his loving Grandmother Ellie Finger.
Rest in Peace Dorian, you were greatly loved by all those whom you touched. We will see you again.
Services will be held on May 31,2024 at Eleven AM in Richmond Utah Cemetery, with a Celebration of Life to follow at Cherry Peak Resort.
