Doris Barnard Obituary
She was born October 25, 1946, in Berryville, Arkansas to Roy Steven Sims and Irene Tice Sims.
Doris enjoyed gardening, crafting, watching and reading old westerns, caring for her small farm animals, having her morning coffee, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked for Tyson and for the Springdale Public School System as a custodian for many years.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Margie Eagle, Louella Reedy, Leroy Sims, Carrol Steven Sims, Virginia Anderson, and James Sims; and one grandson, Shane Cody Timmons.
Survivors include two daughters, Delita Timmons and Carlita McElroy; Carlita's husband, Jeff McElroy; four granddaughters, Hollie Timmons, Samantha Timmons, Bailey Wagner, and Anna Evans Anguiano, all of Springdale; and 7 great-grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.
Memorial service will be Friday, December 12, 2025 at 2pm at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
