Hazel Jeanette Rothrock Taylor
May 29, 1946 – December 21, 2025
On May 29, 1946, in the quiet community of
Highfill, Arkansas, God blessed Gordon and Lottie Rothrock with a daughter, Hazel Jeanette, whose gentle spirit would one day reflect the love of her Savior to many.
Hazel grew up in Gentry, Arkansas, where the seeds of faith were planted early in her heart at Highfill Baptist Church. As a young child she came to know Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, a relationship that would sustain her through every season of life.
On July 4, 1964, she joined her life in marriage to Warren N. Taylor, beginning a journey of love and service that would carry them across the United States and to Germany as they followed Warren's Air Force career.
The Lord completed their family with the gift of a daughter, Tina Marie Taylor, born March 9, 1972. Hazel's heart overflowed with love for children and dogs alike, and she poured that love into little ones as a beloved preschool teacher at Eden Hills Baptist Church.
After many years of faithful service and travel, Hazel and Warren felt the Lord leading them to Collinsville, Oklahoma, in 2007 to be near her dear sister Nellie Doss. There, Hazel became a faithful member of Collinsville Baptist Tabernacle, where she worshiped, served, and encouraged others with the quiet strength of a life anchored in Christ.
In her later years, even as her earthly body grew frail, her faith remained steadfast. She resided at Country Estates before moving to assisted living in Tulsa in 2025, still trusting in the One who promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
Hazel has now been called Home to the arms of her Savior, the One she trusted since childhood. She leaves behind a legacy of quiet faithfulness, tender love, and the certain hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." Psalm 116:15
Hazel Jeanette Rothrock Taylor is now safely Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Lottie Rothrock, and her beloved husband, Warren.
Hazel is lovingly survived by her cherished daughter, Tina Marie Taylor.
She is also survived by three beloved sisters and one brother: Nellie Doss of Collinsville, Vera Garvin of Missouri, and Richard Rothrock of Texas. Many nieces and nephews will forever hold dear the memory of their fun-loving "Aunt Hazel," whose warmth and joyful spirit touched their lives in countless ways.

In the quiet assurance of God's promise, we hold fast to the hope of the day when "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 21:4
Until that glorious morning, Hazel rests in the perfect peace of her Savior.
