Doris Harrover Benton, 76, of Woodbridge, Virginia, passed away in Inova Fairfax Hospital on December 5th, 2025.
She was born in Lorton Virginia, September 18th 1949 to Alton L. Harrover and Doris Phenetta Harrover. Doris graduated from West Springfield High School in 1967. She went on to become a talented Baker and cake decorator.
Doris was preceded in death by her father Alton, Her mother Phenetta, her older brother Charles "Duke", and her older sister Alice. She is survived by her son Brian, her brother Jim, her nieces and nephew Debra, Alicia, Denise and Jim Jr., her great nieces and nephews, Jessica, Victoria, Natalie, Kory, Kyle, and Courtney, her great great nieces and nephews Paetynn, Nathaniel, Mary Alice, and Benjamin, and her beloved cat Teeta.
Doris' service will be held at Mount Castle funeral home in Woodbridge, VA on December 19th at 12pm-3pm. Reception to follow at Woodbridge Inn. The burial of her ashes will be held on a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
