Paul Benton Obituary
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Willard Benton; mother, Sylvia Benton; brother, Roy Benton; sisters, Gladys Matthews, Judy Jones and Gay Crawford; son, Ronnie Benton; daughter, Patty Benton; and his sons-in-law, L.W. Lee III and Walter Mobley.
Paul is survived by his sisters, Linda Bishop, Gertie Lawson, and Shirley Coffey; his two daughters, Kathy Mobley and Rhonda Lee of South Carolina; grandchildren, Ronnie and Gregory Benton, Erik (Michelle), Nara, Debney, Zachary (Karlie), Taylor, Ryan, Elliot, Billy and Kayla McClendon, Rhonda, Joey, Kelsey, Ava, Ace and Knox; special niece, Christal Laughlin; a special friend and neighbor, Carolyn Glass; along with several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tim Morelock officiating. A graveside service will follow the funeral service in procession to Mount Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Tracy Laughlin, Dakoda Laughlin, Jerry Gulley, Cody Matthews, Jamie Crawford, and Kevin Haller.
