Tracy Bishop Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home on Feb. 11, 2026.
Tracy Dean Bishop, age 81, passed away in his home due to complications from Lewy Body Dementia on February 5, 2026. He was born October 28, 1944, in Greeneville, TN, being the first born of the late Thomas and Arlona "Metcalf" Bishop. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Ronnie and Timothy Bishop.

Tracy's faith in God was a sustaining source of comfort and peace. He loved his family with a deep abiding love that was unshakeable. He treasured spending time with the children and making their time enjoyable. His sense of humor was often unexpected from one so reserved. He loved to be creative, riding his motorcycle, wearing his hats, and one of his favorite expressions was to take the time to "enjoy the journey" of life".

In his earlier years, Tracy was a draftsman and woodworker by trade. Spending most of his young adult life in FL, he later moved to TN where he worked in construction.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda; sisters, Katie Rivera and Judy White; daughters, Tammy Allen and Stephanie Bishop; grandchildren, Parker and Zoe Allen; stepchildren, Dwayne and Mike Kelley; step-grandchildren, Sean Hernandes, Megan Cruzen, Cody, Brandon, and Robbie Kelley; and several nieces and nephews; along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

Services will be held at New Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church, 10150 Horton Hwy., Greeneville, TN on Friday, February 13, with visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 and funeral service to follow. Rev. Nathan Reynolds.to officiate.

Graveside service will be Saturday, February 14, at 1:00 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 3711 Beech Creek Rd., Rogersville, TN. Those wishing to attend should meet at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
