James Norman Roberts, 25, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

Norman was born on September 7, 2000, in Monroe, NC and moved to Tennessee in 2010. He was a 2018 graduate of Daniel Boone High School. Norman was a wonderful, loving father and loved his 3 kids with all his heart. He was a loving father, fiancé, son, brother, grandson and a friend to all and will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Denise Sistar; and brothers, Chad Roberts and Joshua Alexander.

Norman is survived by his fiancé, Montana Standley; children; Hadlee, Grayson, and Kaiden; mother, Gilbretta "Renee" Sistar Whitten; sisters, Falisha Alexander, Faith Roberts, Alexis Roberts, and Brooke Roberts; brothers, Tracey, Chris, Tyler, CJ and Andy Roberts; grandfather, James Sistar; great grandfather, Charles "Chuck" Dillard (Marlene); aunt, Shelly Johnson (Jimmy); dad, Charles Roberts, Jr.; stepdad, Ty Whitten; several extended family members and dear friends.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home in Church Hill. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Truman Ferguson officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Sloantown Family Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be Lynn Painter, Jamie Painter, Earl Weeks, Jacob Strickler, Tom Overbay, and Dave Campbell.

In lieu of flowers, for those who feel led to help, contributions toward funeral arrangements may be made to Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home or through the Tribute Fund link below.
