DORIS MARGARET (FLINT) BERGAMINI peacefully passed away with her family by her side at the age of 97. Loving daughter of the late Samuel and Lilian Flint, born in San Francisco, CA.
Doris grew up in the Marina District of San Francisco on Union St. attending Yerba Buena Elementary, Marina Jr. High, graduated from Galileo High School in 1946.
She met her future husband, the late Walter J. Bergamini at a dance in 1946. They married on June 20,1948. Moved from San Francisco to Novato in 1969.
She enjoyed a long retail career at Emporium and later Macy's retiring in 1996. Doris enjoyed a variety of activities such as travel to Italy, South Lake Tahoe throughout the years with family, creating many elaborate Halloween costumes, along with many trips to her beloved Disneyland. An avid collector of Christmas ornaments and many dolls. A fierce competitor with many games her favorite being bingo and casino gambling trips.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother and her daughter, Catherine M. St. Clair. She is survived by her 4 children Diane (Steve), Michael ( Joanne), Charles (Angela), Patricia. 9 grandchildren Regina, Christopher, Gabriel, Alicia, Joseph, Jeffrey (Jade), Anna, Alexander, Dominic and 3 great-grandchildren Victoria, Liam, and Jolene.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1000 Cambridge St., Novato, CA on Wednesday December 3, 2025 at 11am. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the charity of choice.
