Doris Bermes Obituary
Survivors include two sons; Charles "Chuck" Bermes, Jr. and Ricky Bermes; seven daughters; Diane Bermes, Rita Harness, Carol (Don) Clark, Debbie (Tim) Murphy, Patricia (Mark) Veerkamp, Julie Bermes, and Barb (Shane) Pickens; and one sister, Linda (Mike) Coil, brother in law, Larry Pleus all of Fort Wayne; twenty-six grandchildren; fifty-six great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Beckman; four sisters, Rosie Renninger, Mary Bangert, Sandra Pleus and Barbara Smith; a son-in-law, Larry Harness; two grandsons, Jeff Bermes and Timothy Bermes; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Doris Bermes will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana, with recitation of the rosary at 2:30 P.M. in the funeral home. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Jude Catholic Church, with Reverend Daniel Scheidt officiating. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the service in the church beginning at 9:30 A.M. Interment will be in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials in the name of Doris Bermes may be directed at the Franciscan Center.

Doris was such an amazing woman. I admired her greatly and was so impressed with the way she patented, loved others and just gave of her heart. So thankful to have volunteered with her and hear about her life. God bless and keep her always.
