Doris Annabelle (Hilton) Bingaman, 83 of Decatur died on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Tanglewood Village.

A visitation will be held 6-8 pm on Thursday January 15, 2026, at Marantha Assembly of God (555 W. Imboden Dr. Decatur, Illinois 62521). A funeral service will be at 10 am on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the church as well with a graveside service for family at Point Pleasant Cemetery following the service. Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials can be made out to the Maranatha Church Missions.

Doris was born on January 11, 1942, in Clay County to Rance and Velma Hilton and was the oldest of two kids, Lonnie being the younger brother. In 1950 the family moved to Lake City where she attended Prairie Hall one room schoolhouse. Doris accepted Jesus as her Savior at age eight when her mother led her in the prayer of salvation. She graduated from Mt. Zion High School in 1960 and began working for Tabor Grain, which later was acquired by ADM. Doris retired in 2002 from ADM from her position as the Manager of the Letter of Credit Department. In 1962, she moved to Long Creek with her parents. In 1990, Doris married Jake Bingaman, a widower, and they resided in Decatur. Doris always wanted a big family, and God blessed her with one.

Throughout her life, Doris made an impact for Christ on others, donating time to the church as pianist, Sunday school, church bookstore manager, missions' worker and grief & financial counselor. She had a passion for crafts and crochet, which she did not keep to herself, and she loved giving homemade gifts to family and friends.
