Doris Bradford Obituary
She was born Feb. 10, 1940, in Ellijay, to the late James Walter Frady and Mable Irene Suites Frady. One of eight children, she grew up on the family farm, where she developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for family and faith.
She was a devoted member of Mt. Pleasant "Buckhorn" Baptist Church, where her spiritual foundation was lovingly rooted.
She and her beloved husband of 41 years, Hoyt Bradford, later made their home in Jacksonville. She worked faithfully at the Sears warehouse in Jacksonville for many years, where she was known for her dedication and integrity until retirement.
She is preceded in death by husband, Hoyt Bradford; brothers, Fred Frady, Clint Frady, Raymond Frady and Winston Frady; and sisters, Nerva Lou Palmer, Luna "Belle" Willis and Bluma Lee Jones.
She is survived by son, Brad Bradford, of Jacksonville, and daughter and son-in-law, Phoebe and Andy Walker, of Callahan, Fla.
She was a proud grandmother to Kierran and spouse, Sierra Balcita, Morgan Bradford and Jennifer Walker.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, at 12 p.m. from Mt. Pleasant "Buckhorn" Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Aug. 28, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She will be remembered for her quiet strength, unwavering faith and deep love for family. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, resilience and grace that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
