Doris Pearl Brice Bridges, 87, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on January 24, 2026 at Peak Resources in Cherryville, NC. Born April 4, 1938 in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Harvey Brice and Mattie Bell Skinner and was also preceded in death by her son, Stanley Bridges, and siblings Lucille Owens, Nellie Jackson, Myrtle Hughes, Harvey Brice, and Albert Brice. Doris was a devout Christian and a member for many decades at Kings Mountain Baptist. She took particular joy in cooking for and feeding others and was well-known for her home cooking, especially her biscuits, pound cake, and peach cobbler. Doris was skilled at making things beautiful, either by tending to her beloved flower garden or at Christmastime with her extravagant and extensive decorating. She also had a fondness for afternoons spent shopping. Above all, Doris was a woman who loved her family deeply and dearly and devoted herself to taking care of her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her love, warmth, and affection will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
