Doris Rae Brown, 36, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away on December 10, 2025.

Doris was born on October 17, 1989, in Eden, North Carolina, to Kevin Morris Sr. and Michelle Brown. She married the love of her life, Ricky Smith, on August 30, 2019.

Doris worked as a Direct Support Specialist for Abilities, LLC in Warrensburg, MO. She had a deep passion for serving individuals with special needs and had a natural gift for showing compassion, patience, and genuine love to everyone she worked with.

Doris will be remembered for her bubbly personality, witty remarks, and infectious laugh. She cherished reading, family time, and being surrounded by the people she loved most.

She is survived by her husband, Ricky Smith of Warrensburg, MO; and four children: Khalil Brown of Raytown, MO, and Ahyana Dickerson, Rashaud Dickerson, and Raheem Smith of the home. She is also survived by her father, Kevin Morris Sr. (Shelane) Warrensburg MO;her grandmother, Gloria Dudley of Martinsville, VA; godmother Jovita Jones of Martinsville, VA; her four sisters: Ashley Conley (Kris ) of Ozarks MO, Nikki Corson (Clint) , Briana Williams (Derrick), of Warrensburg,MO and Melissa Holland of Martinsville , VA; her two brothers: Andre Morris (Ashley) of Warrensburg, MO and Kevin Morris Jr. (Jade); of Kansas City, MO; her uncles Tim Morris of Collinsville, VA, and Stephen Morris (Teressa) of Mount Airy, NC; and her aunt Tammy Dillard (Wayne) of Martinsville, VA. Special Cousins Paul Brown , Cedric Brown and Karen Brown and Kenny Brown all of Martinsville, VA.Doris also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Michelle Brown of Martinsville, VA; her grandmother, Doris Brown of Martinsville, VA; and her great-grandmother, Beatrice DeShazo of Martinsville, VA.

A funeral service will be held at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on December 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Visitation will take place on December 19, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 PM at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home, Warrensburg, MO. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with a repass immediately after at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
