Doris Ellen Caruthers

Doris Ellen Wiles Caruthers (81 years of age, born on August 24, 1940) passed peacefully on December 8, 2021 after a prolonged battle with metastatic breast cancer. Doris was the daughter of the late Thomas Fredrick Wiles and Gladys Edwards Wiles. Doris grew up in Cameron, SC, and subsequently married and relocated to Nashville, TN. In addition to being a wife, mother, and grandmother, she worked for the state of Tennessee, retiring after 30 years of service. Doris is survived by brother Thomas Ronald Wiles (Kathy), sister Bonnie Wiles, son Mitchell Thomas Caruthers (Marletta), daughter Julie Hoover (Edwin), grand children, great grand children, nieces, nephews, and friend Mike Bryant. Doris will be cremated, with ashes to be buried alongside her mother and father in her hometown of Cameron, SC with the date to be determined. Doris was loved by her family and will be missed dearly.
