Doris Jeanette Chastain

Funeral service for Doris Jeanette Chastain will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery. Jeanette Chastain was born on May 29, 1938, in Poulan, Ga. to the late Silas and Thelma Hamilton Shiver. Jeanette married on February 20, 1954 to Wallace Chastain who preceded her in death. She was a member of Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church of Coolidge, and she enjoyed crochet and working in her yard. Survivors include her daughter Patricia Roberson (David) of Thomasville; grandchildren Shawn Chastain (Tiara), Brandon Roberson (Tanya), Christopher Snyder (Emily), and Casey Stanford (Josh); 9 great-grandchildren; sister Geneva McGarrah (Billy); and a host of niece and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Chastain, and sisters & brothers-in-law Delma & Roy Chastain, and Jessy & Burness Chastain. Visitation will be from 10-11 prior to the service in the church.
