Thomas Franklin Garmon

Thomas Franklin "Frank" Garmon, of Republic, MO, passed away at his home on May 29, 2025. Frank was 78 years old. He was born in Kennesaw, Georgia, on July 15, 1946, to Joseph and Lois (Phillips) Garmon and was one of ten children in the home. Frank enjoyed fishing in the great outdoors. He also worked as a chef at Hemingway's and numerous other restaurants in Springfield, MO. He started Charlene's Sparkle Service, a residential and commercial full-service cleaning business of 18 years. Frank went on to drive over-the-road, with various companies such as J.B. Hunt and TDC trucking to help support the cleaning business. Frank also helped his wife through her undergraduate studies to obtain a B.S. Degree in Entrepreneurship. He had created a business plan to open a gift store where everything is professionally laid out with specialty gifts for men. When Frank and his wife, Charlene, relocated to Republic, he began working at Walmart and retired after 10 years of service. Frank and Charlene were members for ten plus years, until his health deteriorated. Frank loved his four-legged fur babies: his dogs Missy, Pepper, and Sampson, and Tabitha, Benjamin, and Luke were his cats. He is preceded in death by his parents, two daughters and five sisters. Frank is survived by his wife, two brothers, Jim Garmon and Joseph Garmon, two sisters, Ruth Jennings and Bobbie Decker, as well as his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family and friends. There will be a Celebration of his life for his friends and associates, to tell good stories and special memories of Frank's life. For more information, contact his wife.
