Age 80 of Roseville, MN

Passed away on November 29, 2025 at Harmony Gardens in Maplewood, MN

Doris Louise Copley was born in Slayton MN on August 20, 1945 to the late Alton and Viola (Oleson) Leopold. Doris grew up on a farm in Storden MN with her parents and five siblings. After graduating from Storden high school on June of 1963 Doris moved to St. Paul Minnesota and worked for State Farm insurance.

On July 25, 1965 Doris was united in marriage to Craig Copley at Bethany Lutheran Church in Storden, MN. In October of 1965 they moved to Windom, MN where Doris worked at Olson drugstore. May 27, 1967. They were blessed with a son named John. They moved to different cities due to Craig's broadcasting job Including Richland Center, WI where she worked for Dairy Queen and Escanaba,MI where she worked for Sarah Coventry jewelry as a dealer then manager on December 13, 1970 they were blessed with a daughter named Carol. 1972. The family moved back to Saint Paul, where Doris continued working for Sarah Coventry jewelry and also did daycare 1973. They bought their first house in Saint Paul. Doris started working for Montgomery wards in the Midway as a supervisor in their catalog department 1986 Doris started working for Ecolab and worked in their administration department as a government specialist until she retired after retiring she followed her interest in sewing and worked for JoAnn fabrics. Doris loved helping people and she started working as a PCA helping adults with daily tasks.

Doris was active at Bethlehem Lutheran in the Midway as a Sunday school teacher for many years, Doris was the chair person of her circle than president of the Women of the Church. She was a member of the Church council and was in charge of facilities. She made baby hats and diapers for Lutheran World Relief layouts. On her free time she enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing, and reading.

Doris is survived by her daughter Carol (nee Copley) and Mark Dressen; grandchildren Kayla and Shane Stockton, Connor and Alixandra Woodward-Copley, Maxwell and Sophia Woodward-Copley and Molly Dressen; 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; and several other relatives and friends.

Doris was proceeded in death by her husband Craig; parents Alton and Viola Leopold; and stepfather Harold Derickson; one stepsister Serene Becker and her son John Copley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested for: Cure Alzheimer's fund: focusing exclusively on finding a cure.
