Doris Dean Davis was born August 27, 1935 in Oran the daughter of Raymond Beach and Mary Hazel Hutton Foster. Doris was the third of six children. She had four sisters and one brother. Azell McCaskill, Sylvia (Sib) Cox–deceased, Deloris Foster-deceased, Kenneth Foster-deceased, and Donna Anderson.

Doris was a devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Doris graduated high school at Perrin, Texas and soon after married the love of her life Jimmy Carroll Davis on June 23, 1953. They had four children Michael Ray Davis, Ramona Lee Harris, Vicki Ann Ray, and Jimmy Clinton Davis. She has eight grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Doris was fiercely loyal, kind, and hard working. She was beautiful but unaware of it. She loved gardening, sewing, and vacations with family.

Doris had three different jobs throughout her life. She worked for a company that manufactured cabinets. She hand sanded cabinets for eight hours a day. Then she worked for Southern Airways for several years. The base started closing over a period of time but she continued working there and went to night school learning office skills while raising a family. The hard work paid off and she landed a job with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and retired from there.

After years of retirement and losing her husband, her health started declining and on April 17, 2025 at the age of 89 she went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Welcome Home !
