Doris M. Drescher

Doris M. Drescher, age 99, passed away on January 17, 2026, at Aspirus Riverview Hospital.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 18, 2026, at 11:00am at St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of service.

Doris was born on May 25, 1926, in Milwaukee, WI, to David and Johanna (Luetke) Theel.

For nearly 10 years, Doris worked as a hairdresser. Before that, during the war, she proudly contributed to the national effort by working in a factory that produced parts essential to the war.

At home, she found great joy in cooking and baking. Her kitchen was often the heart of the home, where family and friends gathered for good food, laughter, and lasting memories. She enjoyed the quiet moments spent reading and sewing, hobbies that reflected her patience and creativity. Faith was also an important part of her life, and she was a devoted member of St. Lukes for many years.

One of her greatest blessings was her marriage to her beloved husband, Marvin. The two celebrated an incredible 70 years of marriage together before his passing. A testament to their deep love and commitment.

Doris is survived by her children, Jayne (John) Jawson, and Darlene (Brian) Loken; grandchildren, Jennifer (Troy) Beda, Jim (Nikki) Hunkins, Ella Hunkins, Emma Hunkins, Jeffrey Jawson, Erik Loken, Brandon (Abby) Loken; great grandchildren, Alex Beda, Jessica McInnis, Joe Beda, Daniel Loken; and great- great grandchildren, Ellyn McInnis, Lucas Beda, Ella Hunkins and Emma Hunkins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; parents David and Johanna Theel; and brother, David Theel.
