Kris Lanoue Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Herman-Taylor Funeral Home - Wisconsin Rapids on Mar. 11, 2026.
With a heart full of love and a spirit vibrant as a wildflower, Kris Lanoue passed away on March 8, 2026. Born on June 14, 1970, in Marshfield, WI, Kris resided in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, where she lived her life with a fiery passion for the things and people she loved. As Maya Angelou once said, "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." Kris's life was indeed a collection of breathtaking moments, driven by her love for motorcycles, her favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys, and her unwavering devotion to her partner, James Olivarez.

Kris was a woman of contrasts: she was the flame that could light up every room with her spicy attitude yet also had a heart of gold that cared deeply for the ones she loved. Rarely did she tread the path of tradition; instead, she chose to ride the road less taken, much like her beloved motorcycles. Her love story with James Olivarez is a testament to her unique spirit. Their bond, cultivated over 15 years, was not just a relationship but a shared journey filled with mutual respect, admiration, and an unshakeable love. As Victor Hugo beautifully penned, "Life is a flower of which love is the honey," and Kris, with her zest for life and love for James, personified this quote in every way.

Kris is survived by her partner, James Olivarez, who will forever cherish their shared memories.

As we remember Kris Lanoue, we celebrate a life lived with passion, love, and an unforgettable spark. We encourage everyone who knew Kris to share their memories and upload photos on her memorial page, creating a digital monument to her vibrant spirit and the love she shared with those around her.
