Doris “Eddie” Roberta Garton, born on January 4, 1935, in Dickson, TN, USA, passed away on July 30, 2024. A lifelong resident of Dickson, Tennessee, Doris was known for, her dedication to her family, and her passion for sewing and quilting.
Born to Paul and Elsie Richardson, Doris carried forward the value of hard work and commitment from her parents into her own life. Doris dedicated many years to Red Kap, where her keen sense of detail and love for sewing shone brightly.
In her later years, Doris found great joy in her flowers and quilts, each piece a testament to her creative spirit and meticulous nature. She was a beacon of love and warmth in the lives of all who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt.
As we remember Doris, we invite you to share your memories and photos of her on the memorial page. Your stories and pictures will serve as a lasting tribute to the life and legacy of Doris Garton.
Visitation: Thursday, August 01, 2024 from 4 – 7 PM, and will continue on Friday, August 02, 2024 from 1:30 PM – until time of service at Spann Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: will begin at 3:30 PM on Friday, August 02, 2024 from the Chapel of Spann Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Humane Society of Dickson County.
Interment: will follow at the Richardson Cemetery.
