Doris Jean Falconbury, born on December 2, 1946, in Danville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, in Mason, Ohio. She was a devoted wife of 57 years, a loving mother, and a cherished “Mamaw”, leaving behind an enduring legacy of love, faith and dedication to her family.
Doris is survived by her beloved husband, Velmer Falconbury, who remained by her side through every season of life, sharing countless joys and a steadfast partnership built on devotion and grace. She is also survived by her daughters, Kim York (Andrew) and Robin Baker, who carry forward the compassion, kindness and strength she so beautifully modeled.
Her grandchildren- Ashley Baker, Brooke Hernandez (Jose), Spencer York, Claire Baker, Connor York, Emma York, Parker York- were among her greatest treasures. Known lovingly to them as "Mamaw," Doris filled their lives with warmth, encouragement, and unconditional love, leaving memories that will guide and comfort them always.
She is also survived by her brother, Jerry Bastin (Lisa) of El Paso, TX along with many other cherished family members.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Goldie Hendricks, who instilled in her the deep family values she carried throughout her life.
During her final years, Doris received exceptional care and heartfelt compassion from the staff at the Christian Villages of Mason, whose kindness and dedication brought comfort and dignity to her and her family.
Doris Falconbury will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering devotion to those she loved, and the joy she brought to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, where her love will forever be felt.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday November 25, 2025 from 10 am until the time of the service at 11, at the Stone Center at Mason Christian Village, 411 Western Row Rd, Mason, OH 45040. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
