Doris Filbrun Obituary

WEST ALEXANDRIA — Doris Jean (Fisher) Filbrun of West Alexandria was born on Aug. 8, 1936, near Covington, Ohio, to James and Helen (Rapp) Fisher. God called her home on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, in Eaton.

She is survived by her children, Deanne and Thomas Hollinger, Dale and Evelyn Filbrun, Doug and Pamela Filbrun and Doreen and Larry Landes; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; sisters Elaine and Larry Hufford, and Linda and Dale Bowman; and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Marvin Filbrun, Melvin Filbrun, and Glen and Karen Filbrun.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Filbrun; an infant grandson, Keith Filbrun; parents-in-law, H. Raymond and Mary (Aukerman) Filbrun; stepmother Violet (Woodbridge) Angle Fisher; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lowell and Berniece Yost, Jeanette Filbrun, Mary Filbrun, and Ron and Vanice Flora.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12, at the Upper Twin Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 3614 Halderman Road, West Alexandria. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 1-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the church.
