The family will receive friends and family at the home of Kelvin and Theresa Slade, 3073 McLean Chapel Church Rd., Bunnlevel, daily from 4PM-7PM.
Baby Sister leaves to cherish her memories, two children - Kelvin Slade (Theresa) of Bunnlevel and Nichelle Dickerson of Chicago, IL; one sister - Lula Hicks of Chesapeake, VA; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held at McLean Chapel FWB Church, Bunnlevel, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, @ 1PM, following the guidelines of the church for entrance and capacity.
Interment will be held at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Bragg, on Monday, September 22, 2025, @ 10AM.

DJ, we will miss you so dearly, you meant the world to me and my kids and my grand kids, your grand and great grands. I'll miss those phone calls the most, they always seem to come right when I really needed them. Rest well Mom DJ, tell Dad I said hello.
