Doris made the world a kinder place for animals and all of the patients who benefitted from her warm care during her long career. As a child and and as an adult, any time spent by her side was a treat due to her keen sense of humor and knowledge in a wide range of subjects. Many heartfelt thanks to Mardeen and all of those who have attended to Doris and made preparations for the service; you are deeply appreciated. Prayers and blessings to you all being sent from New York.

I have such fond memories of Aunt Doris who was a wonderful conversationalist - from childhoood chats to remaining interested in my adventures into adulthood - she was always a joy to talk to. I also remember her beautiful handwriting and what a thrill it was to receive one the many cards penned by her own hand. It is a great sadness to learn of her passing. Thank you to Mardeen and all extended family who have been present for her and have shared news, made arrangements for the service, and the tree planting in her honor. I will light a candle and say a prayer Tues at 2 pm.
