It is with a mixture of sadness and celebration that we announce the passing of Doris "Dori" Regina Harder, who left this world peacefully at the age of 95 on March 19, 2025. Born on April 7, 1929, in Little Black, Wisconsin, Doris lived a life filled with love, devotion, and an unwavering spirit that touched all who knew her.
Doris was a proud homemaker, dedicating herself to the care and nurturing of her beloved family. She is survived by her loving children: son David (Jennifer) Harder, daughter Gloria Boyd, son Dane Harder, son Jeff (Teri) Harder, daughter Starla (Sanford) Smith, son Carey (Kari) Harder, daughter Cynthia (Mark) Roeske, daughter Doreen (Paul) Shirek, son Patrick (Vicky) Harder, and daughter Pamela (Todd) Matteson, as well as over 100 of her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and still growing.
Doris also leaves behind her dear siblings: brother Glenn (Ada) Sailer, brother James Sailer, and sister Winnifred Glasshoff, along with a host of relatives and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
A celebration of Doris's remarkable life will take place on Sunday, March 30, 2025. Friends and family are invited to join us for a public viewing at 1:00 PM, followed by a heartfelt funeral service at 2:00 PM all to take place at Pagenkopf Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to AngelsGrace Hospice, whose care and compassion greatly supported Doris in her final days.
As we reflect on the life of Doris Regina Harder, we find ourselves celebrating the countless moments of joy, strength, and love she shared with us all. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. She always put family first and they were the most important to her. She also enjoyed gardening, canning, golf, bowling and playing cribbage and pinochle. She also had devoted faith in the Catholic Church.
Doris was preceded in death by Her beloved husband Gilbert Harder and son Michael, as well as her brothers and sisters: Leon Sailer, Earl Sailer, Gordon Sailer, Raymond Sailer, Mildred Schnieder, Margaret Lueth, Ruth Hughes, Florence Mueller.
