Doris Hawkins went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 11, 2024. Born July 25, 1937, to the late Clarence Crawford and Ollie Linton. She spent her formative years in Thomasville, Georgia. She moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, and received her high school diploma from Crispus Attucks High School. Doris attended Indiana Business College and received a Certificate in Business.
Doris was employed at Indiana Bell for 30 years. She retired from there in December 1999.
She accepted Jesus Christ in 1984 and was baptized at Fall Creek Parkway Church of Christ, Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was joined in marriage to Willie Hawkins, Sr., who preceded her in death. The union produced six children.
She leaves to cherish her memory son: Shedrick Hawkins (companion Jeanette Woods), Tina Rollins (Richard), Felecia Stanley, Phyllis Hawkins, Willie Hawkins (Sheila), Ronald Hawkins (Danielle), as well as eighteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, two great, great-grandchildren.
