Doris Karnes Obituary

Mrs. Karnes retired from Maidenform in Princeton after 38 years of service. She was a member of Spanishburg United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her garden, cooking and knitting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Karnes; one son, Allen Karnes; one brother, James Meadows; one half-brother, L. B. Meadows; five sisters, Delphia Fink, Evelyn Bowling, Faye Farley, Rosie Meadows and Thelma Fink; and three half-sisters, Monnie Hodson, Bessie Lovell and Mable Parrot.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Amanda Sands and husband Greg of Spanishburg, Matthew Karnes and wife Vanessa of Spanishburg and Angela Proffitt of Princeton; one great granddaughter, Alexis Proffitt; one great, great grandson, Connor Proffitt; daughter-in-law, Melanie Karnes; and sister, Ann Shumate.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2025 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Ronald Booher, officiating. Interment will follow at the Bowling Cemetery in Spanishburg.
The family will receive friends Monday, November 3, 2025 from noon until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.bailey-kirk.com.
