Mrs. Doris F. Kidd, age 79 of Gilbertsville, KY., passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012, at 4:25 p.m. at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky. Born Sunday, January 15, 1933 in Fairfield, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late John Ralph Beck and the late Anna Leona (McNeil) Beck. She was the wife of Frank R. Kidd of Gilbertsville, KY. She was a retired clerk from Rodney's IGA and was a member of the Briensburg Church of Christ. Surviving are two sons, Tommy Kidd of Hopkinsville, KY and Terry Kidd of Benton, KY, four grandchildren, Scotty Kidd of Benton, KY, Buffy Kidd of Benton, KY, Deanna Shay Howell of Hopkinsville, KY, Payton Thomas Kidd of Hopkinsville, KY and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Norma Lee Koontz of Fairfield, IL, Faye Willmore of Mount Vernon, IL and Joyce Caudle of Fairfield, IL. She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Norman Kenton Kelley and one sister, Bernadine Beck. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, with the Gary Knuckles officiating. Interment will follow in the Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.

Doris will be missed by all. She was a very kind and special lady to be around. I always enjoyed talking to her and seeing her at church. Frank and family we are truly sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
